Thurgood Marshall Academy is a newly constructed academic facility designed to support modern educational, administrative, and technology‑driven learning environments. Reliable, efficient mechanical systems were a critical component of the building’s functionality and long‑term performance.
EQUANS MEP served as a sub‑contractor responsible for all mechanical and HVAC work as part of the building’s new construction. Our scope encompassed the complete installation of the HVAC systems, delivering a fully integrated solution tailored to the demands of an active academic setting.
PROJECT SCOPE HIGHLIGHTS
EQUANS MEP’s responsibilities included:
- Complete installation of the building’s HVAC systems
- Boilers supporting heating requirements
- Central air handling units (AHUs)
- Split air conditioning systems serving targeted spaces
- Self‑performed piping work for all mechanical systems
- Coordination with other trades to support overall construction sequencing
The installed systems were designed to provide consistent comfort, efficiency, and reliability throughout classrooms, administrative offices, and support spaces.
